Tim Schmidt recently served as an interim CEO in Fort Smith, Arkansas. In this role, he regularly visited rural facilities and provided direction on strategic initiatives. He also managed several volume-building projects. Prior to taking on the interim position, Tim Schmidt spent more than four years as CEO of the Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas, a JCHAO-accredited hospital with more than 320 beds and net revenues exceeding $300 million. As chief executive officer, Tim Schmidt focused on various business areas, such as employee recruitment, retention, and development, improving physician relations, and ensuring the long-term financial security of the hospital. During his time with the Laredo Medical Center, employee satisfaction rates improved from 53 percent to nearly 95 percent.
When he is not working, Mr. Schmidt engages in a number of charitable activities. In the past, he supported the March of Dimes by serving as chair. He also enjoys golfing, particularly Robert Trent Jones and TPC courses.
